Trakovice is a small village in western Slovakia. They have something that you will not find elsewhere, which makes them unique. Among thousands of patterns and techniques of decorating clothes, they have developed their own unique designs, intricate ornaments, cut from fine cotton and sewn on translucent tulle. White on white, that was their aesthetic. Inspired by nature in the form of flowers and leaves. Today only few people know these ornaments and even fewer can actually do this technique. It's a very laborious and painstaking job. I chose linen as a base for the "Trakovice appliqué" and sewed the motif - also linen - on the base for hours. White on white, as it used to be.  

I cut the dress to be suitable not only for special occasions, dinner with friends, theatre, but also for a casual summer day when you want to wear something light and not have to think about hundreds of combinations. Such a piece deserves perfect workmanship - not a single thread or seam is sticking out of the dress. All seams are french. The dress is worn over the head and has no zipper or other fastenings. Please measure carefully before ordering according to the measurements below. Length on the figure around 168 cm is to the ankles. The cut is slightly oversized. The dress is meant to flow loosely on the body, so if the measurements are tighter on your figure, please choose a larger size instead.
